Two Poems
by Andrew Bennett
Pile of Dirt
Pried from home, unearthed,
awaiting fate, awaiting purpose.
Reluctant departure.
Illegible debris towers,
inconsistent pellets of rubble
in every imaginable shade of
grey or brown.
Unwanted Visitor
Come and
join the party
— I found a corner
you can sit
and hide in.
